This family business delivers high quality, authentic and convenient products. These include Polish and Halal ranges supplied to the major multiples.
We’ve worked with them from the outset of the business and have been with them every step of the way, helping them grow sales to over £8.5m.
Here’s what David Walter, founder and MD of Stonehouse Foods, had to say about working with us.
How long have you been working with Subrosa?
"We saw an opportunity to supply a range of Polish meats. Subrosa’s knowledge and expertise helped us with everything from product sourcing, range recommendations and commercial strategy, ensuring our offer was both competitive and profitable."
Subrosa care about your business as if it were their own. They are trusted partners, give great advice and can also ‘do the doing’.
How is Subrosa involved in your business today?
"Subrosa is the ‘Stonehouse team’. They provide cross-functional resource on a day-to-day basis across supply chain, operations, commercial and marketing."
Can you give specific examples of how Subrosa help you?
"They handle all our operational requirements including forecasting, orders and stock management. Thanks to their well-orchestrated supply chain and close relationships with the retailers and our manufacturers, we were delighted to achieve nearly 100% availability throughout the pandemic. This was at a time when the challenges of driver availability and movement of goods meant many of the supermarket shelves were empty.
Their on-going commercial support means we have access to their strategic thinking and negotiation support. When we were recently facing a cost price increase that had to pass to our customers, Subrosa devised a promotional strategy that actually drove more growth than we had seen at the previous price.
They also steer us through legislation changes, e.g. HFSS, plastic tax, ensuring we’re always up-to-date and have fulfilled our requirements to the retailers and legally."
What is the best thing about working with Subrosa?
"It’s that they can essentially become part of your team and they care about your business as if it were their own. They aren’t expensive consultants that sweep in, give advice, then disappear. They are trusted partners, able to be with you for the long-term; they give great advice and can also ‘do the doing’."
